Name of article

[edit]

I wonder if this article might better be named Castle Dome Peak -- IB that's the official name, at least it's in common use, unlike butte. --Pete Tillman (talk) 15:56, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I can READ the article I just created. Its says SPECIFICALLY: Castle Dome. The name "Castle Dome (butte)" is the name of the article, not the actual CASTLE DOME. And it is listed some places as Castle Dome Peak, but is locally referred to as: Castle Dome.
That is why I fixed the ReDirect for "Castle Dome" to go the Mountain prominance, not 1–"Castle Dome Landing, Arizona", 2–"Castle Dome Mountains", or 3–"Castle Dome, Arizona". I just created a ReDirect for "Castle Dome Peak". And.....I noted on creating it that the oldest refernce in the Arizona Territory article (when I did a search for articles using (dome, castle, arizona), that "Castle Dome" referred to a REGION. Its the only reference like that. Later references were to the mines, or sites, or the mining region. That's why you guys created those, long, historical articles which they ARE, but they all ignore the actual prominence of CASTLE DOME. The local refernce is to the Dome, (a butte), and especially when in gets covered in winter, or spring, with Snow. (From the HotSonoran DesertArizona(near Yuma)....
(you must have noted that in Wikipedia, article titles don't always match the item referred to?)
And if you Guys, who created those articles, actually created the Article for Castle Dome, I or somebody else wouldn't have had to come along and create this article, or have a discussion(!) about it. ( ! )
I suggest if you want to make some clarity of "Castle Dome", create a good Castle Dome (disambiguation) page or whatever is the appropriate name.... All the searches I did only pull up references to this geographic /geological "Castle Dome"-(I don't think the world has any others to confuse it with)Mmcannis (talk) 21:28, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
