[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because it's a political party in Australia. --Gfcvoice (talk) 03:40, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Especially because it currently has a senator. Hshook (talk) 08:19, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

History

[edit]

Some of the recent edits to CA's members have been done to indicate NXT as a separate party and that they have changed parties. CA is just a rebranding of NXT, not a new party. In the same way the Ian Sinclair article refers to him as a National Party member from 1963 until 1998, not a Country Party member until 1975, then a National Country Party member until 1982, then a National Party member as the party rebranded. The party that these people were elected under in 2016 was NXT. It is rewriting history to make it look like they have been in parliament as Centre Alliance before 10 April. Look at their parliamentary biographies. My edits have not said they changed allegience, they have said that the name of the party they represent changed. --Scott Davis Talk 14:05, 12 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Who on earth is the party's leader?

[edit]

Xenophon claims to have left the party and I can't find any info as to who the current leader is...does anyone know?

There isn't one. It's not unknown for small parties (and even some larger ones like the NSW Greens) to not have an actual leader. Frickeg (talk) 05:32, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Well, that explains why I can't find any info. Thanks. Bacondrum (talk) 09:44, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

My recent copy edits

[edit]

I have just completed some trimming of the article. There remains much to do. The article relies far too much on material about Nick Xenophon, his previous parties, and stuff that happened before this organisation even existed. (Yes, I agree that some of it is relevant, being the party's history, but it should not make up the bulk of the article!) I may come back and do some more, or anyone else can have at it.
