"Wrongly Regarded as Continuity Errors"

I think this section is completely unnessecary. It's not witten in an encyclopedic fashion, and its tone suggests that someone is shoving facts back into another person's face. If they're wrongly regarded as continuity errors, delete them, don't put them on the page and explain why this couldn't be possible. I will delete this section in a day's time if there are no objections. Garhuckle 09:48, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

Prince Pondicherry

I am against merging the article Prince Pondicherry into this article mainly because he was a character in the original book. In addition, he was only a minor character (a passing remark by Grandpa Joe and a 5 minute sequence with him in the movie), so I am going to remove his status as a major character. --Goldrushcavi 22:16, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Wilbur Wonka Merged?

I think that wilbur should not be in this artical because he is only showen in 2 spots. Moonrover101 16:31, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Incomplete Idea

Gene Wilder, who played Willy Wonka in the 1971 film, initially opposed this version, stating it "is all about money. It's just some people sitting around thinking 'How can we make some more money?' Why else would you remake Willy Wonka?"

Did his views change? If so what are his current views? --Nicvaroce 14:35, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Cite was broken, so I removed it. Alientraveller 14:38, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

someone put the link back in, and with a working citation. fair enough then. Codu (t)(c) •  13:53, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Charlie and the Chocolate Factory47.jpg

Image:Charlie and the Chocolate Factory47.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator

Are there any plans to do make Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator into a movie? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.67.35.112 (talk) 05:32, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Do I really have to explain why I have reverted this topic numerous times when I have explained the WP:TALK policy on your talk page? Use IMDB or other internet forums for topics not related to improving the article. Alientraveller (talk) 08:49, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Release Section Cleanup

The release section is very poorly written containing various references to dialog changes in various editions of the movie. I suggest this section be cleaned up by deleting everything in the section after The Mr. Salt quote. --Tabrown97 (talk) 16:12, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Actors Considered for Wonka

Just a reminder to all users adding claims of actors considered for the role, the source must be verifiable. So that excludes any user-submitted comments or reviews on random review or fan sites, e-mails from people who won't reveal their full names but just what "they heard" to Ain't It Cool News, and reports on IMDb taken from WENN without any other sources or way of confirming. Comments from DVD commentary, interviews with the director, and so on are the best sources for this kind of thing. -- Aleal (talk) 02:33, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
