It doesn't apply. Deletion differs from merging. As in, when an article gets deleted, the entire content is removed without leaving redirect. When an article gets merged, its content is merged into the other article and original page is redirected. It should be done here because the show isn't exactly of top importance or its coverage is that wide and having only one season doesn't merit its own "List of episodes" page. It's unnecessary. It does apply. it doesn't matter what page if came from! I never even read that page, but the principle that other pages doing something, doesn't mean every page has to. That page is for arguments not to use in a deletion discussion. Not only is the wiki policy that you pointed to contradicting your initial argument, but the fact that you didn't even read it seems to undermine your whole ability to objectively come to consensus here.
