Content changes[edit]

Guys, I removed some of your correct and useful passages which I think are either repeating or overinforming. I hope you'd agree that the pages of the Polissya and respective cities of the oblast' are the right place for these items. Best wishes, AlexPU (UTC)

Ancient Lithuanian city Shernigone[edit]

the city Shernigone (Chernigov) was an ancient Lithuanian city like and Kuningardas (Kiev), and later was occupied by Rus people. Shernigone in Lithuanian language means the chase/hunt of boars. As well as Pryluky (Prielaukiai meaning 'at the fields'). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.222.112.200 (talk) 22:02, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Towns[edit]

Is Slavutych really in this Oblast, as this article claims? It's also listed in the Kiev Oblast template. – Kieran T (talk | contribs) 17:08, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

Has been answered in Slavutych article; it is physically, but not administratively. – Kieran T (talk | contribs) 21:41, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Ivangorod[edit]

According to this maplandia search, Ivangorod is a place name associated with Chernihivska. In this Wikipedia, Ivangorod appears only as a city in Russia near Estonia. "Ivangorod, Ukraine" appears on the website of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum as a location of Einsatzgruppen killings. I'm interested in information that will differentiate and clarify these place names. -- Deborahjay (talk) 16:52, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
