Chievres Air Base/Allied Use/edit "P-47D Thunderbolts"

[edit]

Thank you so much for putting up this historical page. A minor correction in the content. Under the heading "Allied Use" the article states: In October 1944, the P-47D Thunderbolts of the USAAF Ninth Air Force 361st Fighter Group were stationed at Chièvres.

By October, 1944, the 361st Fighter Group had been converted to P-51 Mustangs in May of 1944. The Wiki page on the 361st FG confirms this. At the time, the 361st FG (originally an 8th Air Force group) had been detailed to the USAAF Ninth Air Force.

Thanks again and I hope I have been of help.
