Picture
[edit]I think a picture of the Children's Songbook would be nice; however, my lack of experience on Wikipedia would make it difficult for me to be able to get a GNU licensed picture or whatever you call the fair use thingy. Could someone else tackle this maybe? Or, to take it a step further, maybe have a comparison of pictures of different versions (the 1989 version compared with older editions.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.202.38.225 (talk • contribs)
Don't count out the adults
[edit]"Although the obvious group that this is intended for is kids, adults aren't counted out. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir has sung several of these songs from time to time in their weekly Sunday broadcast of Music and the Spoken Word. It should also be noted that some of the songs that appear in the Songbook also appear in the LDS Hymnal."
I wrote this paragraph. I acknowledge that I could have worded it a little bit better. Could someone reword this? I'm afraid any action I take may just butcher it even more. 98.202.38.225 (talk) 04:51, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Inaccurate/Misleading title?
[edit]The article is about a specific songbook. "Children's Songbook is too generic and should maybe be renamed to The "Children's Songbook of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" or be incorporated into the main article Hymns of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. If not it will lead to confusion. 41.185.141.118 (talk) 14:19, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
- That's the most common name of the book: Children's Songbook. Good Ol’factory (talk) 04:05, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
- Oh. OK, It is the name commonly used by LDS, but it is not universal and it does not exclude the other songbooks available, like The Reader's Digest Children's Songbook, the Usborne Children's Songbook, Tom Paxton's Children's Songbook and The Hal Leonard Big Book of Children's Songs, for example. Maybe there could be in index for disambiguation. 41.185.141.122 (talk) 08:19, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
- Do those other songbooks have WP articles? If they do, there might be a good argument for disambiguating this article to Children's Songbook (LDS Church). But if such articles don't exist, then there's probably no need to disambiguate yet. Good Ol’factory (talk) 09:03, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
