Mexican Spaghetti Western

[edit]

Does anyone know if Mexican Spaghetti Western came out in 2004, or 2005? —This unsigned comment was added by 64.230.77.149 (talkcontribs) .

Chingon

[edit]

The Spanish verb for "to fuck" is chingar. Hence, Chingon is the masculine form of this verb and is "fucker".—Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.253.71.68 (talkcontribs)

The spanish for "to fuck" es "coger". But coger also means "to pick-up (smt.)". "Fucker" would be better translated in spanish as "cabrón" (being that fucker seems to have a more offensive note). Altough "cabrón" can be also used as badass. Vicco Lizcano 17:50, 8 February 2007 (UTC) (Tell me where I'm wrong)[reply]
I think Spanish has about 50 different words for "fuck", depending on dialect, including both "chingar" and "coger". 惑乱 分からん * \)/ (\ (< \) (2 /) /)/ * (talk) 22:14, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In Mexican Spanish, "chingar" means "to fuck." "Chingon" translated literally would mean something along the lines of "fucker"; however, it is not usually used literally, and referring to someone as a "chingon" is more along the lines of calling them "badass" than "fucker."69.235.165.3 (talk) 23:31, 20 August 2008 (UTC)James Lopez[reply]

Genre

[edit]

The band would more accurately be labeled "Chicano rock" (as opposed to "Mexican rock"). Robert Rodriguez is a Mexican-American, not a Mexican national, and many of the other band members are Mexican-Americans as well. Besides, their music fits in rather well with the general conventions of Chicano rock (strong Rhythm and Blues influence, Latin music influences, and a general sense of musical independence).69.235.165.3 (talk) 23:37, 20 August 2008 (UTC)James Lopez[reply]
