Te Ronga Pai
[edit]Someone needs to scan copies of the Te Rongo Pai and put them on line. There was the first one which came out with the opening of the school and dedication of the Temple, and I think two more for subsequent labour missionary work, both locally in Temple view and for the building of chapels throughout New Zealand (church meeting houses).
Dubious
[edit]The article states that the first LDS Church stake outside of the continental USA was the Temple View Stake. I don't think so. The first stakes outside of the U.S. were created in southern Alberta in Canada in the early 1900s—Cardston, the Taylor Stake in Raymond, etc. This article [1] from a church magazine says the first stake outside of North America was in Auckland in 1958, not Temple View. - This website: [2] of the LDS Church says that the Alberta Stake (in Cardston) was established in 1895; the Taylor Stake (in Raymond) in 1903; the Lethbridge Stake in 1921. NZ did have the first stake outside of the U.S. and Canada but it was in Auckland, as noted above. Good Ol’factory (talk) 04:55, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
