Further sections

[edit]

The Under Construction tab has now been removed from this article, owing to lack of time to extend it at present. I have notes on 76 items from which to develop a further section on Music, with sub-sections on ballet, opera, settings of poems as cantata or song, and purely musical interpretations. Another section will need to be added on representations in the plastic arts with sub-sections on paintings/prints and sculpture.

Present Wikipedia policy sees no merit in simple lists of uninterpreted items in articles and many of these are currently being deleted by administrators. The 'article' Circe in popular culture was created at the start of 2011 as a response to one such purge of the Circe article. The aim of the article here is to give referenced context to the many interpretations of the Circe myth that have been made by artists, writers and musicians since the Renaissance. Rather than simply dropping mere mention of items into the main article, therefore, may I suggest that they be listed here on the talk page, with references given to where they can be found?

It goes without saying that further sections on the areas mentioned above would be welcomed from any editor who wishes to write them. The listing of items to be considered would be of use to all of us developing the subject. Mzilikazi1939 (talk) 12:51, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
