Yavapai-Apache Nation history

[edit]

Does anyone know when the Y-A boundaries were established? The history page gives a lot of background leading up to Clarkdale, but doesn't mention the establishment of the Clarkdale reservation, which must have happened after the 1900 return. ivan (talk) 19:23, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My recollection is that all of the little Verde Valley reservations were created after the Y-A's returned from San Carlos, in the 1910-1940 period. See [1] for all but Clarkdale. I think you'll find a more complete record in:
Braatz, Timothy (2003). Surviving Conquest: a history of the Yavapai peoples . Lincoln, Nebraska: University of Nebraska Press. ISBN 080321331X
-- which is a decent book. HTH, Pete Tillman (talk) 20:23, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
