CW laser?

[edit]

What is a CW laser? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.207.197.164 (talk) 20:48, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Continuous wave. Now defined in text.--Nick Y. (talk) 14:56, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

sample spectrum please

[edit]

Thanks, I read this with great interest, but it would help me to confirm my understanding to see an actual sample spectrum with an interpretation in terms of the given explanation of the mechanism. Perhaps someone with access to real data could add an example of a CARS spectrum of a simple molecule. --AJim (talk) 17:36, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've just added an example of a CARS spectrum Virtusinvita (talk) 16:17, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Table comparison

[edit]

In the comparison section, would it not make more sense to present the values for different pump powers? I, for one, could not easily compare the different numbers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.226.87.139 (talk) 10:33, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

merge

[edit]

I suggest merging Coherent Stokes Raman spectroscopy into this article, because both techniques are very similar, and a short paragraph in this article is sufficient to describe the differences between them and why "Coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy" is far more popular. --DavidCary (talk) 04:40, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
