Need to do
[edit]This article is essentially just pasted from the book included in the references section (which is in the public domain, as it was published in 1911). I did a small amount of wikification, but a whole lot more is needed. -Pete (talk) 18:13, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
- Page 123 also has info so this can be less of one source. Brother was a Republican, so might have an entry in the Republican League book too. Aboutmovies (talk) 20:09, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
- Good ideas. Yes, the Republican League Register does have a paragraph on C.A. Unfortunately, both this and the Bar book you linked have nothing new, and appear to me to be derived from the Gaston book anyway. Sigh... off to do a little more searching. -Pete (talk) 17:13, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
- If you didn't know already, most of these old sources with bios of people were subscription books where the person (Dolph here) paid the book people to be included in the book, and then submitted their own bios. So, most of the info should be the same. And then the Dict. of Oregon History used these sources for its entries, though oddly its amazing how much they can vary from source to source as the author's memory fades and dates become less clear. - No, I didn't know that about paid entries -- thanks, useful info. That's a little disappointing, in a Old Dead Guys:COI sort of way. -Pete (talk) 01:28, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
