Taylor21 08:15, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs sources. Please look at WP:V for information on how important sources are. janejellyroll 05:06, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nu Jerezey Devil is a producer, not a DJ. --Ted87 23:32, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can Anyone find his real name? I've been looking for it for awhile now and i cant find it.Taylor21 02:05, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WTF is this article? It's ridiculous, did he write this himself, because all these claims that he's "world famous" are ridiculous. He sucks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.247.145.25 (talk) 02:01, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No he didnt write this himself i started the article, and most of the information is hard to find and most of the people left the world famous bit there. Next time sign your posts.  Taylor21  04:43, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Page contains blatant advertising and needs cleaning/removing.

[edit]

This article reads out like a CV and is generously peppered with exaggerated claims to give it grandeur.

"Skee rose to fame as the first DJ to discover and play superstar artists on the radio including Kendrick Lamar, Justin Bieber, Akon, Lorde, and Lady Gaga amongst many others."

The above links to a dead page, however the archived link (available on Dash Radio's wiki page although not this one) is an interview with Lady Gaga in which she says that DJ Skee was the first from KIIS FM to interview her. No other artists are mentioned and the claim is dubious and dishonest, hoping that since it can't be easily verified the reader will assume it's accurate.

ARCHIVED LINK (not available on Skee's wiki but found on Dash Radio's):

https://web.archive.org/web/20140322200021/http://www.mynuvotv.com/web/20140810070214/http://www.mynuvotv.com/blog/lady-gaga-gives-dj-skee-a-shout-out

The following section on Dash reads like a sales pitch and has information better suited to it's own wiki page than on here, Dash again does also have it's own wiki page that is linked to this one.

"Now reaching over 5 million listeners worldwide, Dash Radio powers over 75 stations completely free and curated by real DJs, artists and tastemakers with zero traditional commercials."

This is irrelevant information in an article about DJ Skee and is filled with bizarre terms like "real DJs" and "zero traditional commercials" that strongly suggest this is an advertisement.

The "Business Career" section of the article starts out well but then after 2 sentences a little over midway into the first paragraph begins to list a series of unverified claims.

"Known as the man behind the marketing campaigns and promotions for the popular T-Mobile Sidekick in the mid-2000s, Skee has orchestrated campaigns for Daimler-Chrysler(and specifically the launch of the Chrysler 300 & Dodge Magnum in 2004), Google's Android Platform, NIKE, nearly every major record label in the world, and more."

The only link left to verify claims that DJ Skee is "known" for being a marketing director for car manufacturers, Google and several other corporations is this:

https://www.vox.com/platform/amp/2015/11/17/11620732/is-pandoras-rdio-purchase-good-for-listeners-and-artists

An article written by Scott Keeney (DJ Skee) that doesn't verify a single claim made in the paragraph it is dead-linked to. I searched for the article online using the header that is linked to the wiki page.

Finally (at the moment), the claim that he has released over 100 mix tapes is verifiably wrong using the discogs.com link that is provided at the end of the page.

I am surprised that such a poorly worded and blatant promotional piece has managed to stay on wikipedia at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.238.41.148 (talk) 10:35, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to start cleaning the page up so that it looks more like a proper Wiki page. Finding out more about him while I collect his card set. Please let me know if there's anything in particular I should address. JustAnotherNerdWithWords (talk) 03:09, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Updates and edits

[edit]

Hey fellow Wikipedians,

I'm going to slowly begin to address the previous concerns on the talk page and update the page with more recent and appropriate content. If any other editors are still watching this page, I'd love the help as I've only worked on a few pages to date. Much appreciated and have a wonderful day! JustAnotherNerdWithWords (talk) 00:40, 17 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've updated the source for the "Billboard Magazine's influential "Power Players: 30 Under 30"." with the original article [1].JustAnotherNerdWithWords (talk) 01:55, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Since it's what led me to the page, under the Business career section I've added his partnership with Topps.com on the "Project 70" card collection. To avoid the page becoming a sales site for the cards, I won't add anything new about the cards until after they're sold out. [2] [3].JustAnotherNerdWithWords (talk) 02:35, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hey fellow Wikipedians,

I'm adding a new piece under the Television section of the page. DJ Skee is one of the executive producers for a documentary series on the death of Eazy-E on WE TV. [1] JustAnotherNerdWithWords (talk) 03:28, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
