Merger proposal
[edit]I propose that Seven Myths about Education be merged into Daisy Christodoulou. The content in the Seven Myths about Education article is essentially identical to that in the corresponding section in the main article. Jonathan A Jones (talk) 08:34, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose The book is notable and so a separate article is reasonable. Andrew D. (talk) 21:25, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- In that case should the details of the book be removed from the article and replaced by a wikilink? Jonathan A Jones (talk) 21:50, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- What the page needs most is expansion to include her more recent book Making Good Progress? and her new role at No More Marking. The work on automating comparative assessment looks to be of value to Wikipedia. Andrew D. (talk) 07:49, 22 October 2017 (UTC)
- That's probably true, but what's clear is that this information about Seven Myths about Education doesn't belong on two separate pages. Either the details are part of the Daisy Christodoulou article, in which case the separate page should be deleted, or they belong on a separate page, in which case they don't belong here. While I prefer merging to a single page I'm happy with either option, but what can't be justified is having it both ways. Jonathan A Jones (talk) 15:10, 22 October 2017 (UTC)
- In that case should the details of the book be removed from the article and replaced by a wikilink? Jonathan A Jones (talk) 21:50, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- I have deleted the repeated material so that the two articles are now distinct (though both very short) and withdrawn the merge proposal. Jonathan A Jones (talk) 07:02, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
'nation examination readiness'
[edit]meaning unclear Notreallydavid (talk) 22:50, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
- Indeed. The source discusses "readiness for new national examinations", but I have just folded this in to "asessment reform" for simplicity. Jonathan A Jones (talk) 09:48, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
