Internal disputes
There were strong internal disputes and clashes between Dalmatian Nationalists and Regionalists which in end lead to dissolution of party. Dalmatian Nationalists wanted Dalmatians to be recognised as minority ethnic group and also promoted dalmatian language . This tendention was informal led by journalist and writer Srećko Lorger, husband of party president Mira Ljubić-Lorger.Dalmatian Nationalism is today represented by unrecognised DalmatianNational Party.[1] Regionalists not recognised dalmatians as distinct ethnic group but as part of Croatian people, but demanded more regional autonomy for Dalmatia.Leader of regionalist tendention was Zoran Erceg, owner of former humorist newspaper Feral tribune, known for criticism of first Croatian president Franjo Tuđman.
