Birth
[edit]This edit inferred that he was born in 1969 for a statement that he is 37 years old. I've removed the date until we have a better source. ×Meegs 11:37, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds fair to me. - Mcasey666 16:10, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
Cuban-American
[edit]I added the Cuban-American category at the bottom. Last week on PTI while discussing Jose Contreras, Jason Whitlock prefaced a question with something along the lines of "Dan, you're of Cuban descent". I think that's a pretty good indicator.
- Unless it was sarcasm. For example, I could say to John Kerry, "Being that you are so sympathetic to the plight of troops in Iraq and would never crack any jokes..."
Yeah he is Cuban, he has said so himself
Dan Le Batard Show
[edit]could we possibly start a separate article based on Dan's radio show? --Krkr12 02:20, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
All talk about the radio show should be placed on the Dan Le Batard Show. -heat_fan1 (talk) 04:35, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Family ancestry?
[edit]I know his father was from Cuba, but I'm curious about his ancestry beyond that. Le Batard is a French name. 2600:1702:6D0:5160:19AB:E46E:4806:D1C2 (talk) 23:38, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- Le Batard has not stated his further ancestry in print.
- That being said, my WILD ASS GUESS is that the name came over to the New World during the failed attempt by Napoleon III to take over Mexico. Ckruschke (talk) 18:50, 14 April 2021 (UTC)Ckruschke
"Controversies"
[edit]Aside from Wikipedias general preference for not having section called Controversy, nothing in this one would even count as being a controversy. Naming a hippo, really? Everything in the section should be incorporated into the main section of the article, the Hall of Fame vote stuff could be expanded a little and given a subsection. — jonas (talk) 21:51, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
