This does NOT appear to be a vanity page to me. The making of fine musical instruments is an art every bit as estimable as painting or architecture. This is why I read and participate in Wikipedia, because it embraces many fields of knowledge more deeply than a commercial encyclopedia created by 'experts'.

Luthiers are people who make any type of stringed musical instrument. Why is that less worthy than making jewelled Faberge eggs for the Romanovs? Why is Stradivarius less honorable than Duncan Phyfe?

And after all it does say this guy's guitars are owned by some well known musicians.

Updating this page

[edit]

I'm currently researching Dana Bourgeois, a Maine luthier. His guitars are played by musicians such as Ricky Skaggs, Bryan Sutton, Ray LaMontagne, to name a few. If anyone has any articles they'd like considered, please let me know. SojoQ (talk) 21:16, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've expanded this page and removed the "stub" notations. I'll be doing some more edits with page links and a section of notable players who use Bourgeois Guitars, but wanted to get this up and running. Suggestions welcome! SojoQ (talk) 10:58, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
