Should this page be re-merged into The Annoying Orange? I'm glad Daneboe has his own page, but he probably doesn't need it. Also, if this page is not re-merged, should the title change? I mean, Daneboe is just a cybernym, and most people know his real name. That's the name the TV credits give him. Just a few thoughts.

Dane Boedigheimer does not redirect here

[edit]

Instead, it redirects to The Annoying Orange. Shouldn't that be changed? Paper Luigi TC 19:45, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a little bit late on this, but, in case anyone was curious, this issue was fixed almost immediately after it was brought up by Paper Luigi. Steel1943 (talk) 23:03, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

DaneboeDane Boedigheimer – Most of this article refers to this individual as "Dane Boedigheimer". In addition, wherever else this entertainer is mentioned, including IMDB, his name appears as "Dane Boedigheimer". To me, this move makes sense, but those who know more about this entertainer may think otherwise. So, I'll leave this up for discussion. Steel1943 (talk) 04:32, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

(Never mind on that note. I just realized that Daneboe is not even semi-protected itself, so that point essentially makes my recommendation invalid.) Steel1943 (talk) 04:36, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Donkey Punch

[edit]

You say one of the things Dane was in was a short film called Donkey Punch from 2002 and IMDB also has a page for it but I've been looking all over the internet and I cannot find where to watch it. Can someone tell me where you can watch the short film? 4Corry11 (talk) 21:46, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Citation A is no longer correct.

[edit]

Dane now uses only they/them pronouns. 2603:7081:1C46:4000:2526:FE1D:9D7F:269C (talk) 22:50, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@2603:7081:1C46:4000:2526:FE1D:9D7F:269C so is the fact that they identify as non-binary in the Flashback with Smosh episode, enough evidence to remove the notes? Does a citation need to be added to link to the video somewhere? I don't think Dane explicitly asks for specific pronouns, but Ian and Anthony do use they/them for Dane. 2A00:23C5:D60D:1401:4DD3:DF6C:C1F:4C03 (talk) 00:31, 23 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

New name?

[edit]

Now that Ms. Boedigheimer has come out as trans, shouldn’t the article have a new name? In fact, what is her new name? שונרא (talk) 14:49, 23 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

According to their instagram post on the matter here, their "name is still Dane and my pronouns are they/them" Sasha Valeria (talk) 00:57, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

New photo

[edit]

Hello Wikipedians,

Would it be a good idea to update the image used of Ms. Boedigheimer, as the image used now dates back to 2012, and since then she has changed the way she looks because of her transition? I'm not very familiar with the usual process for changing these images and I am not sure if there are any free use images of her current appearance available, but I think that an effort should be made towards changing the image so it better reflects Ms. Boedigheimer herself. SteijnBol (talk) 19:49, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. The 2012 image is definitely outdated, even if it's historic in retrospect. To find and upload an image of Boe's current state, it has to comply with Wikipedia's image policy. Since Boe is currently alive we can't upload a fair-use image, and thus have to find one that's in the public domain or with a CC-license. Either someone should ask Boe if they can provide a PD/CC image, or we can find past images on their Instagram account and see if one's already appropriately licensed for use.
