[edit]By my math - he looses his Tour card after the '06 season. Correct? 72.240.231.145 12:03, 4 October 2006 (UTC) -No he used a 1 time exemption for a top 50 career money leader in 07 and a 1 time exemption for a career top 25 money leader in 08. After 08 he won't be exempt. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.122.164.11 (talk) 23:20, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
Had to mention his winning speech at the Open, very different from his peers. Catchpole 13:41, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
2001 Open Victory Speech
[edit]anybody know of a link to that speech? I see it referenced here and elsewhere (perhaps by journalists using wiki as a source) but I can't find a transcript or video or it. I'd like to read it and perhaps provide the link on the article page. thanks.Jessemarc (talk) 01:17, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Discussion of his astonishing collapse in form after 2001 Open win?
[edit]Wouldn't it be worth adding in a discussion of some of the reasons mooted by commentators for his collapse in form from 2001. I've heard everything from things like 'he lost the fire in his belly' after finally winning a major, to his having severe back problems. And what might account for his partial and patchy 'return to form' in recent years (e.g. 2nd place in U.S. Open recently)? Surely some people out there have written some high quality, well-sourced articles on his loss of form. Isn't the loss of form almost the central interesting thing, the central mystery or enigma, about this player once tipped for greatness? As such, if anyone knows of some quality articles that can be used to source it, a section specifically on how and why he lost his form is a must for this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.34.59.134 (talk) 19:29, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
