Notability/Sources

[edit]

Does this really require a full article? After doing some research, I do not find Mr. Sterritt to be very well know other than a select category of film buffs. I think David wrote this himself. Very poorly written article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.236.54.75 (talk) 02:57, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I realize these comments are over 10 years old, but this article still has problems. Prof. Sterritt is notable enough for a Wikipedia article, but there is a lot of information in the article that isn't sourced. The article could use more reliable sources with inline citations as references for his career as a film critic, his views on filmmakers/films, and/or reviews of his books. Review Wikipedia's guidelines for articles about biographies of living persons (WP:BLP): "Editors must take particular care when adding information about living persons to any Wikipedia page...Wikipedia's three core content policies: Neutral point of view (WP:NPOV), Verifiability (WP:V), No original research (WP:NOR)...Be very firm about the use of high-quality sources. All quotations and any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be supported by an inline citation to a reliable, published source." (WP:RS) PalmBark (talk) 06:55, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
