The Gate

[edit]

The statement "Allen animated the impressive creature that highlights the best sequences of the 1985 thriller, The Gate" is incorrect. David had nothing to do with that production. That "impressive creature" was designed, sculpted and animated by Randall William Cook, the Visual Effects Designer and Supervisor of "The Gate", who later went on to design and supervise the animation sequences for "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:RWC51 (talkcontribs) 19:59, 8 February 2007.

Above statement is accurate. I visited with Randall Cook when he was working on "The Gate". David Allen was not involved. ```` —Preceding unsigned comment added by Daswotan (talkcontribs) 22:57, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

IMDb credits for "The Gate" at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093075/fullcredits#cast and short bio on Randall Cook http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0177241/bio Actually having one's work mistaken for Allen's is high praise. Naaman Brown (talk) 02:18, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
