Clean-up from 2006-07-16

[edit]

This article needs a hell of a lot of clean-up. There needs to be more internal links than external links, and less CAPS FOR MOVIE AND TELEVISION TITLES. Who ever is watching this page (*cough* Groundstar83 *cough*) needs to fix these problems. Ryulong 04:13, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This Article is also written as a resume. I think this guy is editing his own article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.140.98.98 (talkcontribs) 23:19, March 4, 2008

In this edit, Groundstar83 says he is Winning. -- Hoary (talk) 01:02, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've done some bold and dramatic overhauling to try to at least cut down some of the self-promo stuff and clear out the insane IMDB stuff. I did bold rips of prose, but it still needs some serious overhauling to remove more self-pimping. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 01:04, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know what several of the awards mean, if they mean anything. I'll assume for now that they have some meaning. Then the claim for each must be backed up by a disinterested, reliable source. (And the publicist-writable IMDB does not qualify.) -- Hoary (talk) 01:13, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I suspect most mean nothing. They were copied from IMDB. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 01:26, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
An allegation that a particular award was near meaningless would not be unprecedented in WP. See this talk page, passim. Still, let's tentatively assume that a reliably sourced um, awarding of a vaguely relevant-sounding award or honor is meaningful, but also feel free to investigate the meaning of each award. -- Hoary (talk) 01:38, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
So far, I've found at least four articles Winning has created to promote himself. There is currently an ANI thread about Groundstar83's actions, and trying to go through the stuff he's done to find it all...Will try looking for the awards later.-- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 05:58, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mr Winning made more edits to the article, which have been reverted due to the COI issues. Among those, he added various claimed references[1] which need to be evaluated by a neutral editor(s) to ensure they are reliable and being used appropriately. Of special importance is making sure they are not more user edited sites where COI parties may have just injected desired information. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 16:03, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Started checking the "Refs" provided - FilmBug is an open combo IMDB/wiki style site. Obviously not RS and actually is a copy/paste from an earlier version of this article... SeventyMM is an indie rental site that also allows members to edit content and its copy/pasted straight from IMDB. Again, not RS. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 16:31, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
