Birth year and other details
[edit]It seems like Norris has purposely left out his birth details in any source that can be deemed reliable for a BLP. Would anyone consider mylife.com a reliable source? Looks dubious to me, and we must always be extra cautious in these cases. Hearfourmewesique (talk) 03:16, 22 June 2013 (UTC)
It's reliable because it's actual records. As to other sources that most likely just guess the year maybe based on when he graduated Harvard. But Wikipedia just doesn't seem to like the idea of these kinds of sources because they think it's too "threatening" to personal data. I can understand that, but in this case, it is an Actor we're talking about here. What could it possibly have that we don't already know? Also, you'll see in the profile I provided it even says "Occupation: Actor/Self employed". WestBounce (talk) 18:59, 22 June 2013 (UTC)WestBounce
- One of the main principles of editing Wikipedia is "verifiability, not truth". Can a trusted source verify that mylife.com's records are reliable? In any case, biographies of living persons must be factually accurate, we're an encyclopedia and are expected to provide nothing less than accurate facts, a shining example of which is an actor's date of birth. - So... has the birthdate thing been verified? 218.145.129.8 (talk) 14:22, 25 February 2022 (UTC)
Is it true that Norris has a limp in real life?
[edit]The article says that Norris walks with a limp because of a childhood injury. I have not seen any other source that confirms this, and it is not mentioned in the two references linked to in the paragraph.
