If he was born In Northern Ireland wouldn't that make him British?

Not really. The term 'Britain' describes the island of Britain, so the term 'British' described someone from the island of Britain. Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, not part of Britain. The full name of the country is "The United Kingdom of Great Britain AND Northern Ireland", thus, Northern Ireland and Britain are two different things.75.75.110.235 04:44, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
