Census info

Doesnt add up to 100 %. Adds to 109.4 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:8003:D825:4600:2E:2ECF:D628:771E (talk) 01:00, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Muslim number is totally inaccurate

[edit]

Like jokingly inaccurate. Sudan smells 500,000 in Melbourne alone? There's barely 300,000 in all of Australia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.99.177.207 (talk) 07:17, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Spilt

[edit]

This article was split from Melbourne - [1] --Flewis(talk) 07:27, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"However, Melbourne's relationship with the Muslim community is somewhat apprehensive, due to the described extremism[citation needed] of the wider Islamic community, foiled Melburnian terrorist rings[24] and controversy surrounding a number of high ranking Muftis.[25][26]"-- I'm no wiki editor or logician but wanted to mention that the bolded section of this statement is drawing a conclusion that is purely the authors own. If you want to state that an apprehensive relationship exists, surely you would need to cite some evidence that this is the case, rather than give possible reasons for why such apprehension could exist. Removed bulleted demographic descriptors for Socio Economic section - no citations, gross overuse of generalisations, not verifiable except through loose anecdotal evidence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.95.19.250 (talk) 07:39, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

List of 'foreign ethnic groups' is incomplete

[edit]

Does not include 'British' - surely the most common foreign ethnic group in Melbourne...? 167.179.130.168 (talk) 22:05, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
