Why can't Tulu be mentioned?

[edit]

Please do not remove Tulu. Discuss first and then remove. Thanks, KensplanetTC 07:04, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tulu is no way related to dharmasthala C21Ktalk 07:19, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for discussing. I accept I may be wrong but You have to discuss. May I know why Tulu can't be mentioned? KensplanetTC 07:20, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Why it should me mentioned? C21Ktalk 07:22, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Because it's in South Canara and the dominant language of South Canara is Tulu. We have no problem in mentioning Kannada as it is the state language. But if Tulu is removed, it will not be tolerated. Tulu has cultural influences with the city. That's the reason it has to be mentioned? KensplanetTC 07:29, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This temple is for lingayats not for Tuluvas...tulu has nothing to do here. Your logic wont work here, wiki is not the place to express your opinions. C21Ktalk 07:32, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's a temple town not a temple. KensplanetTC 07:33, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ha ha , have you ever visited dharmasthala, the whole town is a temple. C21Ktalk 07:34, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In that case, I want you to provide an online REF saying that Dharmasthala is a temple town only for the Kannadigas. In that case, I promise I'll stop. Can you? This shoul be easy. KensplanetTC 07:41, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Its for lingayats(kannadigas,telugus,malayalees) not for tulus C21Ktalk 07:42, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please provide a reliable REF. I don't beleive you since I have been never been to the place. We here on Wikipedia work only on reliable REFS not oral statements. It's a humble request that henceforth you shall not remove Tulu and other local languages from Mangalore related pages. I actively monitor these pages. KensplanetTC 07:46, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pls stop, you are the one who added tulu here, pls provide an online reference to show this temple is for tulus. C21Ktalk 07:48, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You started the process http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dharmasthala&diff=261257074&oldid=261110454 Why did you remove Tulu. KensplanetTC 07:52, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not me, this is you C21Ktalk 07:52, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please note that Dharmasthala is not in Mangalore, its a separate town just like mangalore C21Ktalk 07:54, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

http://www.bangaloremirror.com/index.aspx?page=article&sectid=38&contentid=2008101620081016205847295aa4c16ed

Tulu is not mentioned there. C21Ktalk 07:57, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What nonsense. That IP is from Saudi Arabia. I am from Bombay. KensplanetTC 07:57, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
How do you know he is from saudi? do u have any admin powers??, and how do i believe that you are from bombay? you may be the same. C21Ktalk 08:00, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is my IP (Kensplanet): 122.169.66.91 (talk) 08:02, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is the WhOIS test of My Ip ( http://samspade.org/whois/122.169.66.91 ) Check the city

and the Ip which you say is my IP 94.98.18.161 ( http://samspade.org/whois/94.98.18.161 ) It says the person is from Saudi Arabia. KensplanetTC 08:06, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please check the above reliable source which i provided. Dharmasthala is located in Belthangadi taluk (not in mangalore). and also check the languages spoken, the source says Kannada,Hindi and English but not tulu. tulu is not a local language of dharmasthala. Kannada is the local and official language of dharmasthala. C21Ktalk 08:07, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
By Mangalore I do not mean Mangalore City. I mean South Canara. KensplanetTC 08:10, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is silly. The languages mentioned are languages which may be used for commercial or religious purposes. Can English be the nativetongue of anyone in Dharmashtala. Those have no relation with mothertongues. I don't think you have any idea what a native tongue means. The mothertongue is independent irrespective of whichever language you speak. What sort of a dumb reference is this? That means Tulu may be the mothertongue of many people there. Are you suppressing the language just because of this nonsense ref you provided. KensplanetTC 08:19, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please provide source for your claims. There is no proof to say Tulu is the mothertongue of many peoples there. are you challenging me? As a lingayat, i visit to dharmasthala frequently(once in a fortnight). What more you know about dharmasthala, its a holy place for usC21Ktalk 08:30, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia doesn't work on oral statements. We work on reliable sources only. Well that means we do not know whether Tulu is the mothertongue of many peoples there, neither do we know Kannada is the mothertongue of many peoples there. Since Dharmasthala is in South Canara and the dominant language of South Canara is Tulu, actually as a general convention Tulu has to be mentioned. I won't waste much time here since you have failed to convince me. However please do not even think of removing Tulu and other local languges of South Canara from South Canara related articles henceforth. I actively monitor these pages. It's a humble request. Thanks, KensplanetTC 08:36, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your opinions don't work here. from now onwards i will monitor this page. C21Ktalk 08:38, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not think of adding tulu again. until and unless you provide reliable source. C21Ktalk 08:40, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You were the one to remove Tulu first http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dharmasthala&diff=261257074&oldid=261110454 I have successfully proved that the IP is not mine. Tell me on what basis did you remove Tulu. You have to provide a reliable source. KensplanetTC 09:02, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That IP and You added Tulu without providing reliable sources, without providing RS, adding tulu is considered as vandalism. C21Ktalk 14:10, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Don't talk nonsense with me. IP edits are not considered to be responsible edits. Only registered user edits are considered to be responsible. As a registered user, tell me on what basis did you remove tulu. I didn't add anything. I just reverted your edit and restored it to normal. KensplanetTC 05:15, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

IP edits are not considered to be responsible edits

Yes, This is the reason i undid the IP edit.

I didn't add anything. I just reverted your edit and restored it to normal.

You didn't add anything, yes i agree. but you vandalized that page. Normal?? tulu was added by IP in last week (not more than 6 days span), it is not normal anymore. it seems IP and you are the same, because both are doing same kind of edits.

Tulu is not a local language of Dharmasthala(Belthangadi). come with a reliable source saying tulu is also local language of Dharmasthala and then add tulu here. Till then, stay off C21Ktalk 12:55, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What sort of immature posts are these. Can't you read above that I have successfully proved that I m not that IP. Even Kannada was recently added (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dharmasthala&diff=229968943&oldid=229968825) on 5 August 2008 by a IP. Kannada was not present before 5 August. On what basis was Kannada added then? Did anyone provide a reliable source. Dharmastala is in South Canara where the dominant language is Tulu. So by default we assume the local languge to be Tulu. Suppose you create an article on a Portuguese town, by default you also add Portuguese. You won't add French there. KensplanetTC 14:09, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Simple, Kannada is the local and official language of dharmasthala. C21Ktalk 14:12, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
.... is in South Canara where the dominant language is Tulu
Prove your POV, no source says tulu is dominant in dharmasthala. Wikipedia dont accept your opinions. if you have an argument ,come with reliable source. C21Ktalk 14:15, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

TULU is the major language.
