awards
[edit]I have remove the text "The recipient of numerous awards," from the lead as no citations were given. On her website, Thorneycroft lists four:
- Winnipeg Arts Council “Making a Mark” Award, 2009
- Most Outstanding Teacher Award, School of Art, University of Manitoba, 2002
- Nomination, Roloff Beny Award, 2002
- Fleck Fellowship, Banff Centre for the Arts, 2001
I have several issues with that list, which is why I didn't include them: She was nominated, but did not win the 2002 Roloff Beny Award. It went to Geoffrey James (photographer). An outstanding teacher award is not notable, which leaves two (a Fleck fellowship) and the $2,500 “Making a Mark” Award. I don't think that amounts to "numerous awards". They should probably have their own paragraph. Sources exist.Mduvekot (talk) 22:34, 11 March 2017 (UTC)
