No more redirect?/Undelete?
[edit]Can we reopen the discussion about the deletion of this page? I just decided to look up diggnation, and found the redirect to Revision3 pretty confusing.
As noted in the Revision3 entry, Diggnation recently won podcast of the year. Many other high profile podcasts, such as The Dawn and Drew Show and This Week in Tech have their own entries. I really think diggnation deserves its own as well.
I know what Revision3 is, so while I found it confusing, I at least understood. I think a lot of people looking for diggnation on Wikipedia wouldn't know what it is, and find it confusing.
Early Release
[edit]Is it necessary to mention the possibility of getting the show early as a non-subscriber? Kevin and Alex often said that this is no support for the show and I have to agree. Subscribers help revision3 with a little donation to keep on. In my opinion it is not very pleasant to tell people it is legal to share the show before tuesday without saying WHY there is the possibility to be a subscriber. Can we delete that section? I think that it is perfectly valid to address making the episodes availible early to nonsubscribers. It is important that people know that its licensing under Creative Commons (for better or worse) gives people this opportunity, even though they do not support people doing this. It is an important aspect of the Creative Commons license to bring up. I think it should be put in the article, however, that they are not in favor of people downloading early. 67.149.230.90 22:51, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
That is incorrect. According to Jay Adelson, CEO of Revision3, redistributing diggnation before it is commonly available on revsion3.org is illegal, since Creative Commons only applies from then on. I will delte the link. Cold-steel 13:04, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Heres a video where Kevin and Alex publicly address the issue. It doesn't really warrant mentioning in the article, but maybe it will clear up some issues for the people posting links to mirrornation

I run mirrornation.com and I think I can clear up some of the issues regarding early releases. First, I have the blessing of the NEW CEO, Jim Louderback, and I have received this blessing through many emails and phone calls to him. He loves the idea of it because I report all of my statistics on downloads to Rev3 so they don't lose any ad revenue. If proof of what I have stated is needed, I would be more than happy to provide such evidence. Psx00 15:21, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Lock for Editing
[edit]In light of recent events, surrounding the HD-DVD code, I vote this page be locked for editing. --66.41.168.63 05:07, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
I disagree.
I concur with the locking. Childish children thinking that by playing with Wikipedia, they can change things.
Locking would be a good idea until perhaps this whole HD-DVD riot is done with. ForTheLose 06:18, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Totally agree, i vote for locking
Definitely. I know people are against digg.com removing the key, but vandalisng the article won't solve anything. CardinalFangZERO 06:25, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Episode Table
[edit]Could we move the episode table to another page or to a hide able template? Lyoko is Cool (talk) 18:08, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
- I agree. It's really cluttering up the page, and it seems pretty goofy to have a table that's longer than the article itself. -Lamarcus (talk) 02:05, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- I moved them to List of Diggnation episodes. -Behun (talk) 01:27, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Screen capture contribution?
[edit]I was watching Diggnation just now and they mentioned something about pictures on Wikipedia. I paused and happened to get this nice and descriptive shot of the show. It's almost like it was set up to be like this: Descriptive Picture
I thought it would be nice to post it here in case you'd want it.
Cheers!
