Direct-controlled municipality of the People's Republic of ChinaMunicipalities of the People's Republic of China – It just call municipalities it there isn't really any official translations of Zhíxiáshì (直辖市). — ASDFGH =] talk? 01:24, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

  • Oppose: Our general East Asian translation is 'direct-controlled municipality', and besides, the full (and best) translation of 直辖市 is 'direct-controlled', and it is not uncommon usage to call prefecture-level cities 'provincial municipalities'. —HXL's Roundtable and Record 03:55, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
  • Oppose in English, "municipality" is not equivalent to the concept of direct-controlled municipality. 65.94.47.63 (talk) 05:31, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
