[edit]Bukowski began writing in the 1940s. He was not a member of the "Dirty Realist" movement. He never heard of it and would have spat on it if he had.
- Nominate it for deletion if you'd like, but refrain from defacing the article. Movingboxes (talk) 14:54, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
I nominate this page for DELETION, and how does one go about deleting an article on "Wikipedia"? Bukowski99 (talk) 11:23, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
- I've corrected the article to make it clear that it's Hemmingson's book that makes the claim for Bukowski as a 'Dirty Realist'. PS, Bukowski99, Buk was writing right up through and after these other authors, and he knew Carver - perhaps didn't like him - but there's a claim to be made/contested here. --Chronotopian (talk) 08:08, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
Dirty realism in Film
[edit]I know that dirty realism has been used a lot in a few mini-series and films in the UK, there are even a few articles discussing it in the the context of film: <http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/culturenews/3652581/New-British-director-makes-her-mark-with-dirty-realism.html> and <http://www.telegraph.co.uk/arts/main.jhtml?xml=/arts/2006/05/22/bfcannes22.xml>. Does anyone object to a "Film" section, or even a mention o its use? Kuro ♪
- I wouldn't object - sounds great. --Chronotopian (talk) 08:08, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
Unclear Paragraph
[edit]The paragraph beginning with, "After Buford's categorisation, the definition has expanded to include . . ." isn't clear. I think this is due to the interrupting clause. Needs rewording by someone who's familiar with this topic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MainePatriot (talk • contribs) 16:13, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
