[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because its notability and importance to the City of Kitchener's history has been explained in the article. The rubber plant was essential to the industrial and economic development of Kitchener and the Waterloo Region in the early 1900s. Moreover, it exists and is still in operation to this day, where it boasts the record as the largest independent rubber mixer in North America.

The article has been created from sources found to-date, but further information to improve the notability of the plant is always welcome. Similarly important historical buildings and companies, such as the new University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy or the old Joseph Schneider Haus also have Wikipedia articles, and the Dominion Plant should be no different. --ARMY101 (talk) 21:24, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Do you actually have anything which indicates this is in fact a "historic building"? Like say, a historic places registry? NickCT (talk) 21:32, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It has been noted on this page along with references (including City of Kitchener references).ARMY101 (talk) 21:42, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You're talking about a local government website, that mentions the plant twice in passing? No, no.... I'm looking for something that actually says straight out "Dominion Tire Plant is a historic building". NickCT (talk) 01:28, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
