The name Dorr Felt in its simplest form might at first appear logical, except that without his middle initial "E." –for "Eugene"– the name is almost unrecognisable for those of us who still remember the ubiquitous use of Comptometers, and the Felt & Tarrant Mfg Co, and the later Comptometer Corporation, (with some small offices still using these machines into the mid-1980s to the early 1990s).

Felt's habitual use of his middle initial Dorr E. Felt was without exception in business, (and to such an extent that it led some, who had merely heard the name spoken, to think that it was either Dorry Felt or Dorrie Felt, (and possibly even a woman; a diminutive of Dorothy.)

I might point out that the article on F. Scott Fitzgerald is so named, and neither Francis Fitzgerald nor Scott Fitzgerald, because the writer was only ever known as F. Scott Fitzgerald. So too with Dorr E. Felt, who was never known as either Dorr Felt or Dorr Eugene Felt, but always Dorr E. Felt.

I should therefore like to propose a name change to the article.
