1998 State Finalist[edit]

MacArthur High School , which lost to Katy High School in the State Semifinals. But however it was revealed that Katy High School had a player that failed or something. So Katy had to forfited playing in the Championship game againist Midland Lee High School. MacArthur High School was only given a 24 hr notice to get "ready" to play Midland Lee , which they lost 53-0 at Texas Stadium at Irving , Texas. There that is the proof to keep my last edit for 1998 State Finalist. So please admins or other users, read this post on the talk page. Irrelevant and sourceless. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.160.130.67 (talk) 18:30, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That is hardly "proof" and, yes, completely irrelevant to the article. Midnight Q (talk) 19:03, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If you lived in Texas or lived in San Antonio, Texas you would know this that MacArthur High School played in the 1998 5A Football State Championship game vs Midland Lee High School. It would have been Katy High School. I didnt make this up okay dude. So that be all comming in here like you this okay. Phoenix X91 (talk) 00:17, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It is irrelevant information and does not belong in this article. Please stop adding it. Midnight Q (talk) 00:54, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The information is still a part of the school's history (an appearance in a sports state championship game), so I have tracked citations for the event and outcome. 70.132.207.189 (talk) 06:33, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I feel this article needs to be rewritten. Eliminating the "success" section removes the need for every school organization/athletics to continually update, bloating the article. Using other San Antonio schools as a template I put together the temporary article above. Once the protection is lifted off the main article I would like to see it replaced with this, or something similar. What are your thoughts? Midnight Q (talk) 02:53, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Midnight Q , if you lived in Texas you would have know that MacArthur High School played in the state championship on the account of the orther school having a inegible player. Okay, if your so smart look it up on google or something okay.Phoenix X91 (talk) 00:30, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you insist on insulting me? I was at the game. However the hows and whys of every playoff appearance are irrelevant and should not be included in the article. In fact, every single playoff appearance doesn't need to be listed in the interest of bloating the article. Midnight Q (talk) 04:47, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Phoenix X91, that is the whole point of Wikipedia:Reliable sources. You can't just say that something is true because you live there. You need to source it. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 05:19, 14 December 2007

Midnight Q, I just said because herd that MacArthur High School when they played Katy High School in '98 they lost okay. But later before Katy was going to play Midland Lee they had their player inegible so they were out , and MacArthur was given their spot for the championship game. There. Phoenix X91 (talk) 13:15, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And that needs to be in the article, why? It's not even in article of Midland Lee, Katy, or the other high school Katy forfeited to. As to the reason for this section of the discussion page, I feel the "success" section needs to go. It's incomplete, and if it were to be complete it would be extremely bloated. There's no reason for an encyclopedia to list every single playoff appearance/accomplishment for every single school organization/athletics. The temporary page I created would eliminate the need for continual updates, which is why this page is protected, patrolled, etc. Midnight Q (talk) 18:44, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I just said to add this information in a "*"(asterick) so people would know this because of the story behind that why it happend .And I'm sorry Midnight Q I called yu a dumbass okay. And I ddint know you graduated from MacArthur, are you a teacher there today. Just asking.Phoenix X91 (talk) 22:12, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Modified the article, because it originally sounded as if the UIL team had taken first place in 2007 science instead of second. The champion came from Mac, but the team as a whole took second in '07. Citation included. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.8.177.238 (talk) 08:05, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Robert W. Douglas II #3::This is a fact I was on the team and yes we had 24 hours to prepare for a beasty Midland Lee team that featured running back Cedric Benson who went on to star at the University of Texas. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.46.1.51 (talk) 19:09, 7 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

past principals[edit]

There should be a section to add all of the past principals. It's possbile to find this information if your familiar with the school. I attend the school , there are potraits of the past princiapls in the hall-way of the main office , and it has their names& years they served as principals. --Rio de oro (talk) 14:04, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
