[edit]

The article does not mention the cultural reference to Drakkar Noir in the film 10 Things I Hate About You. The Glee reference also contains poor grammar ("Principal Figgins ... says he use it too"). I am adding/editing these details to improve the quality of this page. Supervegan (talk) 18:31, 11 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Drakkar noir.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: Wikipedia files with no non-free use rationale as of 24 May 2012

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

To take part in any discussion, or to review a more detailed deletion rationale please visit the relevant image page (File:Drakkar noir.jpg)

Why Remove the Cultural References Section?

[edit]

The use of the word "dumb" to justify the removal of such an obviously important section is simply not enough. 66.229.50.252 (talk) 01:57, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

None of these "cultural references" have any sourcing. It is useless trivia, and being unsourced really doesn't belong in the article. Two kinds of pork (talk) 03:44, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Semiotics textbook

[edit]

I'm removing the section about the fragrance's link to Dracula from the semiotics textbook. A look at the cited passage reveals absolutely ridiculous reasoning, with the authors finally concluding that wearing Drakkar Noir is tantamount to selling one's soul to Satan in order to achieve sexual conquests. It's ridiculous reasoning that reaches to the point of absurdity to try and make a cogent argument.68.116.145.47 (talk) 20:08, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
