Speaks volumes[edit]

"Tamihere was later cleared of financial impropriety, and the story won Garner the 2004 Qantas Media Award for Television News Reporter - Politics."

Didn't matter that his story was bullshit. Created lots of shock horror for TV3 and that's all that counts apparently. OK, as this page is about improving the article and not me having a rant, I suggest the word and be changed to but to better reflect reality. Moriori (talk) 03:12, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm reluctant to change that word per WP:EDITORIALIZING. The NZ Herald source[1] has them as separate sentences, I ran them together to avoid lots of staccato sentences, maybe separate is better. I think rewording along the lines of "investigated but cleared" would be fine. XLerate (talk) 03:57, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

His Age[edit]

I've updated his date of birth based on firstly him mentioning it was his birthday one day, I then heard him today mention that he went to Bruce Springstein a couple of weeks ago for his 40th which is how I determined the year he was born. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.62.31.203 (talk) 02:15, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Veganism commitment[edit]

Why was this edit reverted as "vandalism"? https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Duncan_Garner&oldid=984113033 . It was factual content with sources.Old Wolf 2 (talk) 09:54, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"In July 2020 he "committed" to becoming a vegan for a year if Labour were to win enough votes in the election to govern alone. On 17 Oct 2020 Labour was the first NZ party to reach this achievement under the MMP electoral system. <ref> Garner, Duncan (27 July 2020). "Duncan Garner: Labour won't poll this high on election night - or high enough to govern alone". Newshub.Cite error: The opening <ref> tag is malformed or has a bad name (see the help page)."

I see nothing wrong with this
