Separate Article
Per Wikipedia policy, a separate article is generally not written for perpetrators of single crimes. gadol87 (talk) 14:45, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- There were two bombings at the Boston marathon,
followed by a holdup of a 7-11, the murder of a police officer, a carjacking, and a shootout with police. What is the "single crime" you are referring to, out of the ones which police and the FBI have said the person is a suspect in? Edison (talk) 16:58, 19 April 2013 (UTC)- All those actions are duly described in Boston Marathon bombings. On the suspect, we can say where he went to school and that he was, apparently, a great kid--that's all. Drmies (talk) 19:09, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- Im not sure it can be classified as WP:BLP1E, for one its not just one suspect we are talking about two and there was an MIT officer killed in a separate event, there is widespread media coverage on the two brothers as well as them being wanted by the FBI given all this notability at this point I feel a separate article is in reason. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) Knowledgekid87 (talk) 21:35, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- It is quite a stretch to claim that the various crimes over a period of several days are all "the Marathon bombings," since a shooting is not remotely a bombing. News sources and law enforcement sources are not calling the crime spree a "single crime." A revised title of broader scope would be needed if all this person's and his brother's alleged crime and other actions are to be encompassed in it.( Maybe something more encyclopedic than Boston Marathon bombings and crime spree) That said, if more info about the brothers and their activities is in the future reported by reliable sources, an article or two articles about them can be spun out in the future. - I was pointing out that this is not all one event the Bombings happened yes but then was the shooting of the MIT officer, the car chase and the wounding of an MBTA officer, I live in the Boston area and can tell you that things are crazy here, there is a lot of information coming out reguarding the suspects. But okay wait for now. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 21:58, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- As listed on the main talk page, there is precedent for this - Mohamed Atta, Marwan al-Shehhi, Ziad Jarrah, etc. --Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 22:01, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
