To-do list for Economy of Colombia:

Major Industries
[edit]I think a list of Colombian industries would help a lot to this article. Adding for example: Alpina, cerveceria aguila and articles like these. You're invited to help me. Don Quijote's Sancho 06:20, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Poverty Line
[edit]only 14,7% below poverty line? This does not seem very realistic... there is no country in Southamerica (except Chile) with similar figures --81.210.234.124 (talk) 11:51, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, there is an inconsistency here. At the beginning of the article it says that it is 49% —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.73.95.165 (talk) 15:00, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- The 49.2% (2005) figure is provided by the CIA World Factbook. Browse to the CIA World Factbook website and left click Economy. If you dispute this figure, then cite your source before you edit this figure. — Anunimportantperson (talk) 04:25, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
Citation Needed tags
[edit]In the section "Human Rights Abuses in Mining Zones" I notice that many "citation needed" tags have been added. I did not add any of this information myself, but looking through the pamphlet "Profits of Extermination" (a product of Sintraminercol, written by Francisco Ramirez Cuellar, published by Common Courage Press ) right now, it seems that much of this information checks out, with the exception of the beginning sections about FARC/ELN bombings. I'll look through the whole section and the book, and make corrections if I see any required. 173.3.41.6 (talk) 22:33, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
Overview makes no sense
[edit]I am sure that the person who wrote it meant a rapid increase instead of decrease in the economy. In fact it has been 5% which is really high. It looks like a vandal changed increase for decrease. In fact the first two sentences don't even make sense.--78.146.29.31 (talk) 22:50, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
External link to tariff data
[edit]Hello everyone, I am working for the International Trade Centre (ITC), a UN/WTO agency that aims to promote sustainable economic development through trade promotion. I would like to propose the addition of an external link (http://www.macmap.org/QuickSearch/FindTariff/FindTariff.aspx?subsite=open_access&country=170&source=1%7CITC) that leads directly to our online database of customs tariffs applied by Colombia. Visitors can easily look up market access information for Colombia by selecting the product and partner of their interest. I would like you to consider this link under the WP:ELYES #3 prescriptions. Moreover, the reliability and the pertinence of this link can be supported by the following facts 1) ITC is part of the United Nations, and aims to share trade and market access data on by country and product as a global public good 2) No registration is required to access this information 3) Market access data (Tariffs and non-tariff measures) are regularly updated
Thank you, Divoc (talk) 10:07, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

This article is of poor quality. By its terms it is dated. The editing is disjoint. Authority is not cited. I am the author of a research blog on this subject and can attest that the information is misleading and incomplete. Dcnyhunter (talk) 04:30, 20 May 2009 (UTC) |

[edit]I suggest we follow a structure similar to that of Economy of India which is currently rated B-Class: History, Data, Sectors, Security Markets, Foreign Trade and Investments, Currency, Income and Consumption, Employment, and Economics Issues.Forich (talk) 17:28, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
