Unless Wikipedia feels it is equally appropriate to refer to James as Mendlesohn's husband (she is as well known in her field as he is in his), "who is James's wife" shouldn't be there. Also, it's not particularly relevant.
Reverted 3 March 2008 for the reason above. Academic biographies don't normally mention the relationships of writing partners to each other. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.127.71.17 (talk) 03:22, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If we have a source for their marriage, however, it should be covered in both articles.
Note. EN.wikipedia did identify James as "her husband" until the same anonymous editor changed both articles on the same day. Cf. Talk:Farah Mendlesohn#Edward James, husband.
The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction interpolates their relationship (as we should not) in its James entry and says this in its Mendlesohn entry: "[At York] she met Edward James, with whom she has lived since 1994; they married in 2001. James encouraged her interest in sf, and introduced her to the Science Fiction Foundation, which formed the basis from which much of her earlier sf administrative and editorial work would follow. // In 2002 she succeeded James as editor of Foundation: The Review of Science Fiction ..."
See our [ref name=SFE] in both articles. I added the sources and used them for some basic facts but did not cover the marriage. --and do not plan to do more. --P64 (talk) 23:58, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
