The article author is insisting on full process for this, which is ridiculous, but so be it.
This article is two sentences long. It has been two sentences long since it was created over a decade ago. It is by definition a substub.
The parent article, incubator (egg), is also pretty aenemic, and could do with its history section being expanded. However by the time one has added the two sentences from this article (which is still a very small amount of detail), there is no longer any need for a standalone article.
There's nothing really to discuss here: the parent article has already been expanded to include the entire contents of this one (plus some additional material from a newly-added source). This article is at this time strictly redundant. I'll be redirecting it in due course unless some concrete action has been taken to make that undesirable (basically the only such action would be its significant, immediate expansion such that WP:SUMMARY would warrant leaving details out of the parent).
This has been a massive waste of time, but I suppose it's instructive in that it shows the process by which these things have to be resolved if authors prove needlessly obstinate.
Hi. First off, good job on improving article: Incubator (egg). Please give me a few days to work on this article. If I can't put some good detail into it, then I support the merge. I have not looked at this in a while. Also, I accept your criticism of being "obstinate". Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 21:50, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
