Reorganization

[edit]

I am going to reorganize the content from this article by moving some information in this article to Iran's many related energy articles whenever appropriate according to the following structure:

For complete overview of Iran's related articles please see: Template:Energy in Iran. If you have any question or remarks before I start please let me know. 68.197.144.38 (talk) 17:09, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have already moved the content of the latter article into Energy of Iran. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.116.251.98 (talk) 07:38, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lagging behind

[edit]

The article should briefly mention that Iran is lagging far behind Qatar in extracting gas from the South Pars Gas Field and how Iraq has also signed contracts with major oil giants for extracting oil from joint oil fields with Iran.

Some parts out of date

[edit]

Does anyone "own" this page (not sure what the wiki term is). I'm going to create an account tonight and bring it up to date. I notice the stuff about Bushehr refers to 2010 in the future tense. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.144.42.192 (talk) 15:51, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Some number in the section of "Energy forecast" seems not to be right

[edit]

But I could be wrong.

The number of "1117 tonnes of oil equivalent (toe)" was listed as the MENA-Energy demand for the year of 2015 estd, for Iran. For a country like Iran, only 1117 tonnes seems to be too small. Can the writer help me on this? Thanks.

Ask for clarification of some numbers

[edit]

I translated this article into traditional Chinese in Feb. of 2020, and just did the 1st editing this evening. I need help.

It says in In the part of ==History==Iran recycles 28 percent of its used oil and gas whereas the figure for certain countries stands at 60 percent.
I'm not sure if there's "recycling the used oil and gas", can it mean it is "recovery rate" as stated below?
==Primary energy sources==The Iranian recovery rate is currently approximately 27 percent, which is well below the world average.

:It says in the part of ==Environment==CO2 emissions per capita (mt): 624.9 million Mt (2011 est.)

If it is per capita, the number of 624.9 million Mt seems too big, my checking, the number could be 8.4 Mt, as shown by[1]
Thanks for your kind attention.ThomasYehYeh (talk) 13:49, 6 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
