Renaming[edit]

I am going to rename this article to Eugene Kelly (Irish republican) in line with the naming of other IRA Volunteers and in order to stop confusion with other types of republicans. Would anyone object? Vintagekits 18:13, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I will give it another week before I change it. Vintagekits 16:51, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No objection. Go for it. Just make sure you do it the correct way (ie NOT a cut and paste job) to ensure the page history is retained.GiollaUidir 17:29, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I was going to use the (#REDIRECT Insert page name) method - is this correct? Vintagekits 17:33, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If its not maybe we should get [user:Weggie] invloved as he know exactly what to do and performed a similar procedure this weekend on another page. Vintagekits 17:37, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Press MOVE from the tabs above and put the the new name in with a reason. It will automatically create redirects for you. The only other thing is to give any wikilinks under the current (to be old) name i.e. Eugene Kelly (PIRA Member) to make sure everything looks OK Weggie 20:46, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
