Options exchange

[edit]

Does anyone know the following: ... Did the Amsterdam Options Exchange, did it list options available on underlying securities and indices in the USA at like the Nasdaq and NYSE prior to the CBOE's opening in the 1970s?? Yes or No? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.91.219.76 (talk) 02:16, 27 October 2007

I don't know. You could try the Wikipedia:Reference desk. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 15:53, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article says this is the oldest stock exchange in the world

[edit]

This article says that Amsterdam Stock Exchange is the oldest, but the Hamburg Stock exchange seems more than 40 years older.

Even in this list, it appears to be the third, after Hamburg and Frankfurt. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Orestes1986 (talkcontribs) 05:58, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Article is missing any info about Euronext Amsterdam today

[edit]

The article is nearly completely History information. This is fine if it is an historical only article. But the lead implies (unsourced) that this is a going concern today, in 2024. That needs sourced. But more importantly, the article should explicate what is Euronext Amsterdam today? What is its annual trade volume? How does the exchange operate work? Is there anything going on in the buildings that are described in detail in the building history section? What is traded on the exchange? How are securities listed or removed from the exchange?

Alternatively, if it should be a pure Historical article, then the lede should be rewritten to avoid the implication that something is going on with this exchange in the current time in Amsterdam. N2e (talk) 11:36, 9 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
