The name "Europa Elite".
[edit]Time will tell whether the aircraft's name proves to be "Europa Elite", or just "Elite". If it changes, there may need to be a redirect.
(By the way, both "Europa" and "Elite" were the names of two of Colin Chapman's Lotus Cars). Arrivisto (talk) 12:20, 8 May 2020 (UTC)
- As per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (aircraft), we name aircraft article as manufacturer-designation-name, like North American P-51 Mustang. Since it doesn't seem to have a designation it is the Europa Elite, at least for the first mention in the article. It can't be moved to Elite, because we already have an article there. Worth noting that "Elite" has been used as an aircraft name very commonly, see Murphy Elite for just one example. - Ahunt (talk) 12:41, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
Merger: Swift Aircraft Swift
[edit]Surely this is the same aircraft as the Swift Aircraft Swift (aka Swift II)? Comparing the artist's conception on this page with that on [1] reveals they both sport the same civil registration! Swift Aircraft's parent company bought Europa back in 2008.... Big Blue Cray(fish) Twins (talk) 16:32, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
- Update: I removed the picture, and added it to the Swift Aircraft Swift page - where it was removed by a bot under WP:NFCC. So, should it not be here either! NB: The image is of the Swift plane. The article text describes the wings as elliptical, the image shows trapezoidal wings.Big Blue Cray(fish) Twins (talk) 22:06, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
