Is this needed?

[edit]

Couldnt the sentence "They also covered the Nirvana song "Lounge Act" for a covers compilation by Kerrang! featuring artists such as mathcore act The Dillinger Escape Plan and melodic metalcore band Rise to Remain." be cut down to just "They also covered the Nirvana song "Lounge Act" for a covers compilation by Kerrang!", I dont think the 2 metalcore bands need to mentioned in Evile's article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.98.201.211 (talk) 19:14, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Photo

[edit]

Okay, I found this photo on Flickr. I admit it's not the best, not having all 4 band members, but it's free and will do as a place holder for now. If anyone has any better ones, please upload. Rehevkor (talk) 14:48, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Genre

[edit]

Minor point, but is the "heavy metal" tag really necessary? If it's thrash metal, it is by definition heavy metal, usually the "heavy metal" tag is just used when a band has stuff in their catalogue that doesn't fit in with a more specific genre, and it can be used in a general way, or to represent "traditional" heavy metal. Evile has neither of those, it's just straight-up thrash metal. Prophaniti (talk) 01:38, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've found alot of labelling in the Metal genre is necessary - Evile have aspects of Thrash Metal AND Heavy Metal - Thrash Metal is an offshoot of Heavy Metal and has many different aspects in approach, subject matter and musicianship. Death Metal is an offshoot of Thrash Metal, but no one in the Metal genre would call Death Metal, Heavy Metal. Evile have aspects of Heavy Metal aswell as Thrash Metal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Carl666 (talkcontribs) 17:48, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There was an illegal move performed by moving the info from the first article mentioned to the last article mentioned. I was going to move it correctly, but someone else copied and pasted the information to the Ben Carter (musician) profile before I got to do that. Proof that it was illegally moved is that in the Ben Carter (Evile) article, there is a long log of history, while the Ben Carter (musician) article has only one edit's worth of history behind it. I believe this is worthy of being attennded to very soon. BacktableSpeak to Meabout what I have done 03:41, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PS: By the way, I do believe it is notable to point out how I learned about illegal moves the hard way by doing the same thing back in 2007 with the Emmure page.

There are instructions on how to fix these here, otherwise I can sort it out later at work. Rehevkor 13:50, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm unaware of how to do the above, can you, Rehevkor please do this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Carl666 (talkcontribs) 17:49, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Ben Carter (Evile)" to "Ben Carter (musician)"? I this it's been all sorted now. Rehevkor 18:02, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of content

[edit]

Some content was removed by Malconfort in a recent [edit]. I'm not sure why this was done, but the user seems to be a regular contributor, can anybody clarify that removing this is the correct thing to do? If not I'll revert the edit. Duncan3dc (talk) 18:14, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
