"There are unconfirmed though plausible reports that Iran has tested a chemical warhead for the Fajr-5."

This statement looks like black propaganda from a similar pen to the one that gave us Iraqi WMD and 45 minutes to doomsday. Where is the evidence, what makes it plausable?

Nationalist Neutrality broken.

This article breaks the idea of national neutrality, when it sites a source of a national newspaper which is obviously hostile to Iran and Hezbollah. If someone can get this information from another source "Iran, sent Fajr-5'S" to Hezbollah, please cite it on the page. ---> Actually Hizbollah has just fired Fajr-5 rockets from Lebanon to Israel (Between Afula and Beth Shean, near Beth Hashita).

ynetnews is not a slanderous news source and if you can find another news source you can replace it more than happilly however you should note that you will have a hard time doing that with foreign sources since the rockets claimed no casualties and its implications on iran. israeli bomb experts have concluded it to be an improved version of a fajr-5 rocket since it fits the very specifications and performance of such a rocket. hezbollah has no rocket program or capabilities of creating its own custumized rockets. as much as Iran denies it gives rockets to hezbollah you see lebanese openly proud themselves on videos that hezbollah has launched fajrs and has zelzals. its a known secret. if it looks like a fajr 5 has the diameter of a fajr 5, the range of a fajr 5 and makes a boom like a fajr 5 and you have bomb experts saying its a fajr 5, its a fajr 5.

to avoid friction i've changed the article to reflect the conclusion of the identity of the rockets as an israeli conclusion. ~NightyBeta ---

The fact remains - Fajr-5 have hit Afula.

Rocket to hit Ships?

If this is a rocket and not a missile then how can it be converted to hit ships using a radar? A rocket, as opposed to a missle, has no guidance system, and thus cannot change its balistic course. The anti-ship claim by the AOI appears in the linked Janes article, but it makes, wrt the above, no sense. Eranb 12:39, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

This might sound plausible at first look but it is possible and janes are a pretty professional source. The radar is on the launcher which supplies the rocket all guidance initially. rockets are a "statistical" weapon meaning by firing a barrage you do have a chance of hitting the ship. I have seen modern tanks use shells to successfuly hit helicopters (one shot no barrage) which sounds even more plausible but radar does make it possible. Unless you can find a source that claims otherwise, janes claims seems unconflicting with current capabilities. honestly you can do what you want with it but i personally think that janes is right in its analisys. what i do feel is that the introductory area about the rockets capabilities does need some serious cleaning and rearranging. ~NightyBeta

Fair use rationale for Image:FADJR-5.jpg

Image:FADJR-5.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

MLRS

Thought about adding link from MLRS to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiple_rocket_launcher but that doesn't seem as helpful as it could. Simon Marchese (talk) 18:38, 16 November 2012 (UTC)

Alleged usage in Nov 2012 by Hamas

Should this be mentioned in this article? Teun Spaans (talk) 19:43, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

I added it was fired from Gaza by Islamic Jihad. Someone changed it to Hamas (which I'm not sure it was the Qassam Brigades) and later was deleted altogether. Don't know why. We should reach a consensus; so far there were many reports it was used by some group in Gaza. Fernando A. Gimenez (talk) 19:50, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

HAMAS is the militant power in the Gaza strip. They run the strip, and virtually everything which goes on in it, aside from the occasional Israeli SpecOps incursion. If anyone is firing rockets from Gaza into Israel, it is HAMAS. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.62.254.20 (talk) 05:01, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
