What is the source of the year of birth, 1873? I ask because portraits made by an artist of the same last name were made in late 1888 - early 1889 for the pavilion of the Argentine Republic at the 1889 Universal Exhibition in Paris, and if it was him, he would have been just 15 years old. Haven't found any other Toussaint painters active in those years. Albert Ballu, who designed the pavilion, had commissioned very well known artists for the building's decor.
