Benfica Championship 1968
[edit]After the Chilean Fernando Riera called it quits after a payment dispute at the end of November 1967, his assistant Cabarita was elevated to headcoach with the beginning of December. Early April 1968 Cabarita was replaced as headcoach of SLB with Oto Glória after a defeat at CUF Barreiro on matchday 21. At that point SLB was two points behind SCP. Cabarita was retained as assistant and under Glória the championship was eventually won with three points ahead of SCP. Both were let go together after matchday 18 early April 1970, after another defeat, this time at home, against CUF. S. also Champions Cup. Oalexander (talk) 09:17, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
