{{Editprotected}} I must apgologise for my additions to the following page (Finger Lickin' Records) yesterday (29/05/07). Having never used or updated a Wikipedia article before I was not aware of your stringent rules regarding the nature of the material posted and in particular your rules concerning material that blatently promotes a company/ person. Having copied the material from the latest press release I can see how this may have breached your restrictions. I now notice that the my addition was deleted a few times without me realising.

I now have a revised biography that I would like to submit that details the labels tenth year in business. How do I go about getting the page unprotected and submitting the revised biography for review? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Fingerlickin (talkcontribs).

OK, I'll assume good faith on this and unprotect the page. But I will keep an eye it, and one of the main guidelines is notability (please read this link before you repost), try and identify why this company is notable, because if there is a sniff of advertising or spam, someone will come along and put another speedy tag, or I will delete it. The fact that your username is the same as the company, leads me to believe there is a conflict of interest here (read here as well before you re-post), and again I am suspicious that you are just trying to promote a company you are involved with, but I'll wait to see. On a side note please remember to sign all your talk page posts using ~~~~. Any problems don't hesitate to give me a shout. Khukri 11:11, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Finger Lickin' are an influential but small-ish label in the UK. Get mentioned a lot in UK national papers (Guardian etc.) but I don't have subscriptions so can't cite them properly. A Google search in the news archives gives a taste of what we should be able to populate the article with (see here). The current content is entirely inappropriate though. -- Siobhan Hansa 15:52, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ed zacchary, that's the sort of links and more it needs, but the editor is writing it as a promo piece, including the link and e-mail address at bottom. I can't see it surviving long though at this rate, unless it does get taken under someone's wing and it get's wikified. Khukri 17:05, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
