Problems with this article

I found this article completely orphaned (nothing links here) despite existing for 12 years. To me, that suggests that it should be merged into Moisture analysis. In addition to that, it really is a mess. Rather than proposing a merge I'm going to cut out some content that is not in the style of an encyclopedia article or otherwise doesn't belong; I will attempt to preserve all relevant, factual content.
